01Which layovers qualify?
Touristanbul runs on Turkish Airlines layovers of 6 to 24 hours in Istanbul. The Qatar stopover needs a transit of 12 to 96 hours in Doha. The Tashkent tour is arranged around your arrival time. A travel manager confirms the window while quoting your fare, before anything is booked.
02Is it really free?
The Istanbul and Tashkent tours are free with a qualifying layover, meals included where the programme says so. The Qatar stopover is a package priced by Discover Qatar, so it is not free, and we book it alongside your ticket at their published rate.
03Do I need a visa?
That depends on your passport and the country. We check the entry rules for your nationality before booking a tour, so you are not turned back at immigration on the day.
04What happens to my luggage?
If your bags are checked through to your final destination they stay with the airline for the whole layover. Your travel manager confirms this when the tickets are issued, so you only carry what you want for the day.
05Could a tour make me miss my flight?
The tours are timed to end well before boarding. On Touristanbul, if the tour itself delays you, Turkish Airlines arranges alternative travel.
